5 Ways to Remove Dark Under-Eye Circles

Your skin says a lot about your health. If you don’t sleep and have stress, this can show on your face in dark under-eye circles. Depending on your skin color and ton, these will cause the area under your eyes to appear brown and purple or black.

In most cases, the pigment under the eye is normally associated with being tired, but still, there is a lot of cause for this condition that you may want to look into.

If you have dark under-eye circles, keep reading for tips on getting rid of them and maintaining your natural look.

1 – Get Enough Sleep

The main cause of dark under-eye circles is a lack of enough sleep. If you hardly sleep after a long day at work, you will most likely develop dark skin under the eyes.

If you don’t sleep enough, you will also look paler and develop eye discoloration and dark under-eye circles. As an adult, you should ensure you get at least 8 hours of sleep every night. Additionally, practice good sleep hygiene and replace your bedding frequently.

2 – Use Tea Bags

You can use tea bags to get rid of under-eye circles. According to natural healers, soaking tea bags and applying them on the under-eye circles can help. Get some caffeinated tea bags and chill them in a refrigerator for some time.

Place each tea bag on your eyes and wait for five minutes. You can remove the tea bags and rinse your eyes or the affected area with cold water.

3 – Vitamin E and Almond Oil

Vitamin E and almond oil can also be useful in removing under-eye circles. Mix almond oil with Vitamin E and use this mixture to massage the dark circles before you retire to bed.

You can then wash the dark areas with cold water in the morning. Repeat this process severally until the black circles disappear.

4 – Use Moisturizers

When you have under-eye circles, you can apply some moisturizers to remove them. There are a lot of OTC drugs that you can buy and use to remove dark circles. Most of the medicines contain aloe, Vitamin E, and retinol.

You want to be careful when purchasing moisturizers. Read the instructions for use before you start applying the moisturizer.

5 – Cold Cucumbers Slices

Under-eye circles are caused by dilated blood vessels in the area under your eyes. It means you can remove them using a cucumber cold compress. The cold compress will constrict the blood vessels around your eyes, which results in lessening the dark circles.

Cucumbers have mild astringent and skin-lightening properties. You can use cucumber slices to naturally fix the dark skin under the eyes. Chop some fresh cucumber into thick pieces and refrigerate them. Place and leave the slices on your eyes for at least 10 minutes. You can then rinse your eyes with warm water.

Final Thoughts

Under-eye circles and eye discoloration are common conditions in most people. If you want to get rid of dark circles under the eye, you can apply cold tea bags, cucumber slices, moisturizers, and cold compress the affected area.
